If you are in a position to support Brynteg School with our Crowdfunding, please read how you can help below:
Vinteg Uniform Shop
Brynteg School has set up their very own pre-loved, sustainable uniform shop called 'Vinteg'. Vinteg offers a range of uniform items that are free of charge. However, the success of Vinteg entirely relies on the kind donations we receive. If you have any Brynteg uniform items or P.E kit that you no longer need, we would love to give them a new life at Vinteg!
If you wish to donate, please send donations to Mrs Pember or to the Main Reception. This project is ongoing, so it will help our pupils now and in the future. Thank you for your support.
This year we have created a 'Charity Committee' who have taken charge of planning our fund raising programme for the academic year.
The immediate plan is to run a raffle that will raise funds for this years charities.
YEAR 7 - Welsh Refugee Council
YERA 8 - Hope Rescue
YEAR 9 - Llamau
YEAR 10 - Sandville Hospice
YEAR 11- RNLI Porthcawl
Sixth Form - Children's Ward , Princess of Wales Hospital.
As a result of last week's charity meeting, it was decided by the pupils to run a raffle between now and the Christmas break.
The committee have already received some fantastic donations for prizes, but would like to reach out to any parents, carers or businesses who may be able to donate a gift that would be appropriate to raffle.
The draw will take place during the last week of term and all monies raised will then be equally distributed between all six charities.
As you may be aware, last years challenge raised just over £3,000 and already this year, we have taken toys to the Children's Ward and sold refreshments during the IPad loan scheme evenings.
The intention is to celebrate everything the committee are planning with our parents and carers and make this year another fantastic one for our charities.

Plea for Denim items:
This year in Textiles, we’re focusing on sustainability, by upcycling old materials into something new! We are in need of old denim items — jeans, skirts, shirts, jackets — that are no longer needed. If you would like to contribute to our exciting project, please donate your denim and help us give it a second life! Every item will be gratefully received and put to creative use.
If you have a student attending Brynteg then these items can be dropped off at room 107. Or if you are supporting us from the local community then items can be dropped off marked for the attention of Ms L Tucker at the main reception Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm term time.
Thank you for supporting our sustainability efforts!

iPad Crowdfunder
Over the past two years, teachers and support staff at Brynteg School have worked incredibly hard to design an exciting, engaging and inclusive curriculum, providing pupils with opportunities which inspire and enthuse them to become lifelong learners. Key to the success of this curriculum model has been the development of our iPad programme, whereby all pupils have been provided with their own personal iPad upon entry to Brynteg School, allowing them to be able to capture their learning in the moment, carry out digital tasks both at school and at home, showcase their learning journey through their e-portfolios, hold discussions about their learning with their teachers, parents and carers, and reflect on their learning.
The introduction of our iPad programme has ensured that all of our pupils have access to digital technology and digital opportunities, regardless of their economic situation at home. Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints in common with all schools, the future of our iPad programme is in serious doubt, and we need your help to ensure that our new cohort of pupils are able to access the same opportunities as our current Year 7 and 8 pupils working within the new Curriculum for Wales.
Here’s what our pupils think …
“Through my iPad I have learned so many new digital skills, and I am able to access my work at any time whilst in school and at home.”
“This is the first iPad I’ve ever had and I love it! I can share my learning with my Mum when I go home, and she is so proud of me!”
“I love being able to upload all of my work onto my e-portfolio as then I can easily reflect on my work and plan next steps to improve.”
“My iPad is so important to me as it means that now I am no different to my friends, and I am able to complete all of my homework more easily.”
“My iPad helps me to be more of an independent learner as I'm able to access resources and complete independent research both in and outside the classroom.”
If you are in a position to support us to continue this inclusive opportunity for all of our pupils and would like to donate towards our iPad programme, we would be incredibly grateful for your support, however small.
Thank you.
Fundraise for FREE! - Easyfundraising
Easyfundraising is a fantastic initiative that provides a simple yet effective way to support Brynteg School without any additional cost to you. When you shop online through the Easyfundraising website or app, a portion of what you spend is donated to Brynteg School, with the cost being covered entirely by the brand you are purchasing from. This means you can contribute to our school’s funding without spending any extra money yourself.
Here’s how it works: each time you make a purchase from one of the thousands of participating retailers, a commission is generated from your transaction. This commission is then converted into a donation to Brynteg School. The process is seamless and does not affect the price you pay for your goods or services.
By using Easyfundraising, you can help us raise essential funds that will be used by the school. Your support makes a significant difference. Each purchase can help contribute to our school's goals.
To support Brynteg School, please visit our Brynteg School Easyfundraising page. Every small contribution adds up and helps us. Thank you for your support and for making a positive impact on our school community.
Brynteg School Prom Pop Up Shop
Help Make Prom Dreams Come True - Donate to the Brynteg School Pop Up Prom Shop!
Brynteg School has set up a Pop Up Prom Shop, and we need your help to make it a success. Prom is such a special event, but not everyone can afford it.
Our mission is to make prom a fantastic experience for all our students, regardless of their financial situation. We're looking for donations of prom dresses, suits, and accessories. If you have any of these items no longer required, we would love to give them a new life at our prom shop.
Here’s how you can get involved:
1. Donate suitable Prom Dresses and Suits: Do you have a dress or suit you no longer wear? Perfect! We’re looking for all sizes and styles to help our students look their best.
2. Accessories: We’re also in need of shoes, handbags, ties, jewellery, and any other accessories that could complete a prom outfit.
3. Spread the Word: Tell your friends, family, and anyone who might be able to help. The more people who know about our shop, the more donations we can gather.
Every donation will help a student feel special and confident on their prom night. Whether it's a dress, a suit, or an accessory, your generosity will make a huge difference.
If you’d like to donate, please get in touch with Brynteg School. This project is ongoing and will help our students now and in the future. Thank you for your support.
