Mr I Griffith will be running the New York Marathon during the February Half Term in 2026. This is in support of the Brynteg's PTFA. The aim is to help raise funds for new shelters around the school, giving our pupils better outdoor spaces and protection in all weather.

We at Brynteg School in Bridgend are launching a festive initiative to encourage good attendance and provide additional support for our pupils during December. This time of year can be challenging for many young people, so we aim to offer small rewards and thoughtful gifts to help motivate and uplift them. We are reaching out to businesses in our local and surrounding areas who may be able to contribute items such as vouchers, gifts or other suitable rewards. Any support will have a meaningful impact on our pupils, and we would be pleased to acknowledge and thank your contribution on our website and through our social media platforms. If you know a business who would be able to help, please contact the school on 01656 815559 or email Shelley.Owen@bryntegschool.bridgend.cymru or Jennifer.Davies@bryntegschool.bridgend.cymru. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated by our school community. |
Sponsorship Opportunity at Ysgol Brynteg School
Ysgol Brynteg School is inviting local businesses to partner with us by advertising around our school facilities, which are hired out to the community daily. This is a fantastic opportunity for your company to gain high visibility among local residents and visitors while supporting our ongoing projects and activities. By working together, we can strengthen community links and continue to make Brynteg a true community school.
Sponsorship will run for a period of two years at a cost of £350. If you are interested, please forward your company artwork as a high-resolution, print-ready PDF. Advertising boards will measure 150cm x 60cm. To take part or request more information, please email Emily Godsell or Iwan Griffith

Vinteg Uniform Shop
Brynteg School has set up their very own pre-loved, sustainable uniform shop called 'Vinteg'. Vinteg offers a range of uniform items that are free of charge. However, the success of Vinteg entirely relies on the kind donations we receive. If you have any Brynteg uniform items or P.E kit that you no longer need, we would love to give them a new life at Vinteg!
If you wish to donate, please send donations to the Main Reception. This project is ongoing, so it will help our pupils now and in the future. Thank you for your support.
Prom Props and Decorations
We’re starting to prepare early for next year’s Year 11 and Sixth Form Proms, and we’d love your help. To make these events as special as possible, we’re looking for prom props, photo frames, and decorations that could be donated to the school.
Any support will not only help us create a memorable evening for our students but will also reduce costs, making the events more affordable for parents and carers.
If you are able to assist or know of any businesses or individuals who might be willing to help, please get in touch with Jen L Davies via email.
Your generosity would make a real difference in giving our students a prom to remember. Thank you in advance for your support.
Do you have any Scalextric cars or track gathering dus
t at home? We’d love to give them a new lease of life here at school for enrichment and science and technology club!
Donations will help us create a fun activity for our pupils to enjoy. If you have any items you’d like to donate, please drop them off at the school office for the attention of Mr M Lane. Thank you so much for your support.

iPad Crowdfunder
Over the past two years, teachers and support staff at Brynteg School have worked incredibly hard to design an exciting, engaging and inclusive curriculum, providing pupils with opportunities which inspire and enthuse them to become lifelong learners. Key to the success of this curriculum model has been the development of our iPad programme, whereby all pupils have been provided with their own personal iPad upon entry to Brynteg School, allowing them to be able to capture their learning in the moment, carry out digital tasks both at school and at home, showcase their learning journey through their e-portfolios, hold discussions about their learning with their teachers, parents and carers, and reflect on their learning.

The introduction of our iPad programme has ensured that all of our pupils have access to digital technology and digital opportunities, regardless of their economic situation at home. Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints in common with all schools, the future of our iPad programme is in serious doubt, and we need your help to ensure that our new cohort of pupils are able to access the same opportunities as our current Year 7 and 8 pupils working within the new Curriculum for Wales.
Here’s what our pupils think …
“Through my iPad I have learned so many new digital skills, and I am able to access my work at any time whilst in school and at home.”
“This is the first iPad I’ve ever had and I love it! I can share my learning with my Mum when I go home, and she is so proud of me!”
“I love being able to upload all of my work onto my e-portfolio as then I can easily reflect on my work and plan next steps to improve.”
“My iPad is so important to me as it means that now I am no different to my friends, and I am able to complete all of my homework more easily.”
“My iPad helps me to be more of an independent learner as I'm able to access resources and complete independent research both in and outside the classroom.”
If you are in a position to support us to continue this inclusive opportunity for all of our pupils and would like to donate towards our iPad programme, we would be incredibly grateful for your support, however small.
Thank you.
