Careers Support and Advice at Brynteg

At Brynteg School we aim to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and abilities which will enable pupils to be effective in a variety of adult roles, careers and occupations. Aspects of Careers Education are embedded throughout the curriculum. In conjunction with Careers Wales, we support pupils to understand the World of Work through regular employer visits, talks and enrichment activities.

We work closely with Careers Wales to develop our pupils understanding of the career-related skills needed in today’s workforce and the options available to them. We support pupils to develop an understanding of the post-16 and post-18 options available to them so that they can make an informed decision on their pathway to their chosen career. This may be further study at 6^th from, college or university, an apprenticeship, work-based training programmes or moving into employment.
