We would like to share details of a fundraising day taking place at Brynteg School on Wednesday 8th July in support of one of our own pupils.

'8 for Ethan' is a whole school fundraising event for Ethan, a much-loved member of our school community who is currently undergoing intensive treatment.

As many of you know, Ethan is a keen rugby player and proudly wears the Number 8 jersey, which has inspired the theme for our fundraising. Throughout the day, pupils and staff will come together to take part in a range of activities, culminating in a school sponsored walk where we will complete 8 laps of the school grounds in the shape of a figure of 8.

Across the school there will be bake sales, sporting challenges, raffles, games and many other student-led fundraising activities. Our aim is not only to raise as much money as possible, but also to show Ethan and his family the strength, kindness and support of the Brynteg community.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly towards supporting Ethan and his family during this difficult time.

If your child is taking part in the sponsored walk, sponsorship forms will be sent home and sponsorship can be donated directly through the GoFundMe page, making it quick and easy for family and friends to support the event.

On Wednesday 8^th July, pupils are invited to wear their PE kit along with a T-shirt decorated with the Number 8 on the back. This is not a non-uniform day, but a way for us all to show our support and create a memorable visual display as we complete our figure of 8 walk together.

We are continually humbled by the kindness shown by our school community, and we know that Ethan and his family are deeply grateful for every message of support, every donation and every act of generosity.
